Favours, the psychedelic electronic indie band formerly known as Black Cat, are kicking off their Now or Never national tour and their first stop will be Beijing’s Modernsky Lab on December 4.
Known as Black Cat for the last four years, the band decided to rename themselves to Favours on October 31. The Beijing stop will be their first show since the name change.
In April, the band released their EP Chase the Light and toured more than 16 cities, performing with different DJs.
Commentators called Favours the most hard-working band of the year that is producing high-quality music. Liu Weiyi, drummer of the famous band Jungle Mico, said Favours’ music was some of his favorite.
Many young bands that have been labeled as “the hope” or “the new stars of rock” faded quickly after failing to meet their listeners’ expectations. But the musicians in Favours feel excited about attracting more attention and say it gives them more motivation than pressure.
