The Beijing Great Wall stomped the Shanxi Flame 73-53 in the 10th round of the WCBA tournament in Beijing on November 25.

Shanxi suffered a terrible away performance with “First Lady of Basketball” Maya Moore missing four shots in the first quarter. Beijing quickly stormed ahead to finish the period 15-5.

In the second period, Shanxi’s Zhang Yu managed to sink a couple three pointers to close the gap. But the third quarter was back to business as usual, and the Flames missed five three-point shots and only scored 9 points the entire period.

In the final quarter, foreign players Moore and Brittney Griner were switched out and the match slowed down. Beijing’s 20-point lead proved too much for the Flames.

Top scorers for the Great Wall were Griner with 29 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists and Sun Xiaoyu with 13 points.
